Certification Requirements

Certification isn't automatic just for attending — a few requirements have to be met.

Canadian Red Cross certification is issued only after a participant meets required attendance (100%, where applicable), successfully demonstrates all required practical skills, successfully completes any required knowledge assessment, and complies with all Canadian Red Cross course requirements.

If these aren't met, the outcome is recorded as "Not Yet Competent," and certification is withheld until the required standard is met — this may mean retaking a skills demonstration or assessment.
